Amanda Perry Carl is a distinguished agricultural compliance consultant with deep roots in Florida, where her family has cultivated a legacy since 1823. A proud native of the Sunshine State, Amanda blends her extensive expertise with a profound understanding of the agricultural sector, advocating for the industry that she loves.
Amanda grew up in the rural community of Pedro, Florida, which was settled by her family in 1823. It was there in Pedro that Amanda developed her passion for the agricultural industry at a very young age and where she learned the importance of the industry and the value of a hard day’s work. Amanda’s family raised beef cattle and grew various crops over the years. In fact, before she even started school, Amanda already had her own herd of cattle and was growing, marketing, and selling her own watermelon crops. Through her early agricultural pursuits, Amanda learned first-hand the struggles faced by those in the industry, and she made it her mission to always work and advocate for agriculture.
In 2003, Amanda earned her B.S in Agricultural Education from the University of Florida, with a minor in Agricultural Law. She then earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2006–graduating number 3 in her class! With a lifetime of experience in the agricultural industry and two Gator degrees under her belt, Amanda moved into noteworthy positions that have shaped her career.
From 2007 to 2015, Amanda gained invaluable experience at various firms, most recently as a litigator at AM Law 200 ranked firm Baker Donelson from 2012 to 2015. She then joined A. Duda & Sons, Inc. as a Corporate Attorney and Assistant Corporate Secretary from 2015 to 2021, providing critical legal counsel to one of nation’s iconic agricultural businesses. In 2021, she took on the role of General Counsel, Head of Government Affairs, and Corporate Secretary at Harrell's, LLC, where she oversaw legal and corporate governance matters while engaging with government entities to promote the interests of the agricultural community.
Amanda currently lives on the St. Johns River in Osteen, Florida with her husband, Tim. Tim and Amanda have 5 boys that they adopted in 2019, as well as a 115-pound black lab named Louise.
With a genuine passion for agriculture, Amanda continues to advocate for the industry, ensuring that the agricultural heritage of Florida, and the entire country, thrives for generations to come.
